Dr. W. Ruth Whitney

She is one of the most distinguished women in the New York Metropolitan area as well as in the United States.  Ruth is the wife and leading lady of the Mt. Sinai Baptist Church in Brooklyn, New York, pastured by the Reverend Dr. Curtis L. Whitney.

She received her Bachelor of Science Degree from the New York State University, in Westbury, New York; and, earned her Masters in Social Work from Adelphi University, Garden City, Long Island.

Ruth diligently establishes programs for Christian education and Christian leadership throughout the nation.  With her broad knowledge and understanding, she has the ability to cultivate and nurture Ministers' Wives groups and local churches into the notable examples of services that Jesus would want them to become.

W. Ruth Whitney, wife, mother, and grandmother, is an active community servant in the borough of Brooklyn, where she resides.  However, her outstanding leadership often propelled her to the forefront of movements that involve positive change and development to enhance the quality of life in many diverse communities throughout the nation.
